My intention with this blog is multi-faceted to say the least. I’m going to take this opportunity to give you a vague outline of what you can expect to find here. I’ve been telling people (mostly clients and friends) for far too long now. “I am a web designer / developer, and some time soon, I’m going to have a website of my own.” The truth is that I did have a website up at this same address, but quite frankly, I’m hoping that most of you who find yourselves reading this blog post have not seen the previous one. It might sound silly, but as a self-taught web professional and entrepreneur I’ve learned so much so quickly that the website that first launched DreamStar Studios became “obsolete” almost as soon as I published it. The good news is that it’s all in the past now. You’re here. I’m pleased with this site (at least for now). And I’m glad to welcome you.

- CSS / xHTML tips, techniques, tutorials, and discussion of new wave web design a la Jeffrey Zeldman and the W3C Web Standards
- Design tutorials focused primarily on Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator (I plan, over time, to break down alot of the graphic techniques employed on this site)
- Freebies – And really, who doesn’t like those?
- Whimsical meanderings – I have always had an itch to write, so my hope is to share some interesting ideas on a variety of topics
- Marketing, a topic that I’m taking greater and greater interest in, particularly in the wake of rising social networks like Twitter and Facebook and the onslaught of people using these networks in a way that not only hurts their brand, but the experience of fellow users.
